A Good Day to Be Here — Original Sunflower Painting

Some mornings I step outside, feel the sun, and think: it's a good day to be here. This original sunflower painting holds that feeling of simple gratitude for right here, right now.

Framed within a dark oval, a bold yellow sunflower turns its face toward you while fiery orange and golden blooms lean in around it, surrounded by green sepals and swirling teal and cobalt leaves. Look closely at the sunflower's center for a hint of layered collage beneath the paint.

Created in watercolor and oil on gallery-wrapped canvas, A Good Day to Be Here reflects my love of romancing the day to day: pausing to notice the beauty in an ordinary morning. At 16x20 inches, this floral wall art is just the right size for a kitchen, office, bedroom, or cozy nook, a daily reminder to soak up the sunshine.
