Meet Becky Potter:
Artist, winemaker, and devoted to the art of romancing the everyday.
Becky Potter is an Oregon artist and winemaker working from her studio in the Dundee Hills of the Willamette Valley. She paints original floral paintings (peonies, dahlias, sunflowers, tulips and zinnias), whimsical animal paintings and richly textured abstracts in oil, acrylic and mixed media, often finished with gold or copper leaf, in a style she calls Contemporary Romanticism. Her original paintings range from small works under $100 to large statement pieces around $750, and each one ships ready to hang with a certificate of authenticity. Becky also accepts a limited number of custom commissions.
Artist Statement
I believe beauty matters, and consequently I create vibrant, expressive paintings that celebrate the beauty, meaning, and quiet poetry found in ordinary life. Through bold color, rich texture, and familiar subjects, my work invites viewers to slow down and notice what might otherwise be overlooked. I call this approach Contemporary Romanticism—a way of honoring everyday moments as evidence of love, connection, and the hand of the Creator. Each painting is an invitation to romance the day-to-day and rediscover the extraordinary within the familiar.
Artist Biography
Becky Potter is an Oregon-based fine artist and winemaker whose work celebrates the beauty found in everyday moments. Working from her studio in the Dundee Hills of Oregon's Willamette Valley, she creates bold floral paintings and richly textured abstracts inspired by the changing seasons, abundant gardens, and the quiet rhythms of vineyard life.
A graduate of the Milan Art Institute Mastery Program, Becky paints with a deep appreciation for color, texture, and the natural world. Her work often incorporates layered surfaces and touches of gold and copper leaf, creating paintings that feel both contemporary and timeless.
Her artistic philosophy is rooted in the belief that beauty matters and that art can invite us to slow down, notice, and "romance the day-to-day." As a woman of faith, she views painting as a response of gratitude to the Creator and hopes her work brings joy, peace, and wonder into the homes where it resides.
Becky's work has been recognized with Best in Show honors at the Clackamas County Fair and is held in private collections throughout the United States.
When she isn't painting, she can often be found with her family, or tending the vineyard and gardens at her family's winery, where much of her inspiration begins.
